The Host

Portrait of Jam, host of Sound Opinion
Jam · Host, FounderEST. 2026

Jam is a writer, host and lifelong eavesdropper — the friend you call when the group chat gets interesting, and the one who follows up three days later with a spreadsheet, a playlist and a book recommendation.

Sound Opinion started as a voice memo, then a Google Doc, then a microphone on a kitchen table. It became a podcast because the conversations kept spilling over — about money, music, healing, culture, the small things and the sacred ones.

The show is built on a simple belief: we deserve a media diet with more nuance in it. Less noise, more meaning. Fewer hot takes, more honest ones. A place to think out loud without performing.

Off mic, you’ll find Jam at a slow dinner, in a good bookstore, or somewhere between an airport and a museum. On mic, you’ll find her asking the follow-up question everyone else was thinking.
